NEVADA:

In Nevada, they’ll still gladly accept your money and welcome your visit but please cease mispronouncing the state’s name: Nevada.  Most people mispronounce the state, “Nay-vawwda.”  PLEASE, it’s: “Ne-VA-da.”  Here’s “betting” that you, too, have been guilty of this indiscretion!  Remember: short “a”.

Don’t sell Nevada short; it’s much more than just the fabled, glitzy gambling and entertainment of Las Vegas, Reno, and Lake Tahoe.  The small towns of Nevada and the countryside between offer a wealth of fascinating, one-of-a-kind rewarding sights awaiting your discovery, coupled with endless adventure and recreational experiences to challenge and satisfy even the most jaded of travelers.  Yes, Area 51 and thoughts of outer space have intrigue, but search out the unknown throughout Nevada and you’ll be richly rewarded beyond your imagination.

Okay, now fill your wallet and visit Nevada.  Repeat: “Ne-VA-da!”

WEDDING BELLS - GET ME TO THE CHURCH ON TIME

There’s no waiting period and there’s no hurry to get to the church on time.  No need to fret here: in Lost Wages you can get married 24 hours a day - there’s always someone available to help you get hitched.  Whether you decide on the spur of the moment after hitting it big at the tables or simply elope, it’s all perfectly legal.  There are a million options from which to choose.  A bare bones service costs $40.  You can dress up or be married in your T-shirts and shorts.  You can choose to be serenaded by Elvis impersonators or other celebrity lookalikes (there are extra costs for this and that) or just say, “Yep, I do,” and the local chapel will happily pronounce you husband and wife - and nowadays, even an occasional “whatever couple.”  Oh yes, the fee, please.

You don’t even have to get out of your automobile to get married - simply drive through the Tunnel of Love: The Little White Chapel provides drive-thru weddings.  Marriages are available 8:00 a.m. - midnight, 7 days a week!  The chapel is located at 1301 Las Vegas Boulevard South.

Hmm: Don’t forget, only six weeks residency is required in Nevada to become unhitched - divorced Reno style - Goodbye.
